Larry Peacock founded Peacock Equipment in 1979 as a 17-year-old kid with a backhoe in the Operated Equipment Rental business. In 1984, the company became a team effort when he married Kim Clements. For the first few years of business they took on a multitude of different types of projects (digging footings, commercial plumbing, irrigation, etc.).
Paul Clements, Kim's father worked as a cemetery grounds superintendent. Paul recruited the help of Larry and his employees to complete a s
mall crypt installation project. The corporation, that owned the cemetery, then asked Larry to do projects at many of their other cemeteries. Since that first little project up to the present time, Peacock has installed more than 400,000 lawn crypts in many different cemeteries.
The year 2009 marks our 30th year in business. Of those, 23 years have been exclusively cemetery work. About 2 years ago we incorporated and changed our name to Peacock Engineering, Inc. (Still the same quality work and the same quality people). The majority of our employees have been with us for years and many are family members. In fact, Larry's father and mother, Fred & Arlene Peacock, who have been in the commercial landscape business for 44 years, currently work with us. God has blessed us with a job that we never envisioned doing. After 30 years we still enjoy what we do!
